Al menos siete personas, entre ellas una niña, han muerto y otras 21 han resultado heridas al estrellarse un coche de competición contra los asistentes a un rally en Sri Lanka. El incidente ha tenido lugar durante un evento del Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 en Diyathalawa, en el sur del país. De acuerdo con las primeras investigaciones de la Policía, el suceso ocurrió cuando el vehículo arrolló a un grupo de personas que estaba asistiendo a otro coche que acababa de tener un accidente poco antes.
